We are seeking well-organized, resourceful Professors to lead and create online courses. This job is a contract for one online course. The Professor leading the course would devote 10 hours of their time over a period of 5 weeks. The responsibilities of the Professor are:
Create the course title, description, syllabus, and one-time lecture
Promote the course via their university of employment/social media/email/etc.
Lecture and engage with students for 90-minutes each week for five weeks
This is a great opportunity to promote your research, publications, scholarly work, and grow with Forever Scholars as we are a new venture and may have additional opportunities. All Professors will be paid $2,500 per course/lecture, and a TA paid for by Forever Scholars will be assigned to the course to facilitate technology questions from participants and to assist with the Q&A portion of each class.
A Ph.D. in the relevant field.
2+ years of experience teaching in an academic setting.
Published articles and proven experience as an academic.
Strong teaching and mentoring skills.
Excellent presentation and written and verbal communication skills.
A sound understanding of and passion for subject matter.
An understanding of online instruction.
Military history, preferably, World War I & II, Vietnam, or the Cold War.
This position is a contract position and does not come with a benefits package
